We came home as a family of three on Tuesday afternoon. As you may well know Chicago drivers tend to be awful and now with extremely precious cargo in tow, they certainly haven't improved. So the drive alone proved to be a journey of faith.
The world is full of so much uncertainty and danger, but NOTHING the hand of God cannot protect Elijah from. This week has been full of opportunities to surrender to the Lord, ask for wisdom, and trust Him to provide and protect. We have loved this sweet week of growing to know one another as a family and have seen the Lord meet us in a way unlike ever before.
We pray we would continue to abide and find our rest in the Lord as
we believe God for His provision over Elijah.

Beautiful family photo. Love reading about your journey as new parents too. It's so exciting and scary to think about, but God has given Elijah such wonderful and God-fearing parents. The Lord will continue to give you all that you need when you need it! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful family! I will be praying for you guys as you begin this new journey!!
ReplyDeleteHey Greg & Katie! Kasi had told me about your blog last night so I thought I'd stop by :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you guys and your newest little blessing! Elijah is soooo adorable. Hope everything is going well for you. I always say the first 8 weeks are the hardest only because you are up all the time and trying to figure things out...then all of it sudden it all just makes sense (and the little guy starts sleeping even longer)!
Blessings to you guys!
love, Brooke
Thinking about you guys and this wonderful time you are in. Enjoy every sleepless moment:) Too soon it will be gone:(
